No Idaho County Warrant Form
No official Idaho County active warrant search form or public warrant database was located in the official county pages reviewed. That finding matters. A name that does not appear in the public inmate list should not be treated as warrant-free, and a current inmate entry that lists a warrant should not be treated as a complete active-warrant index. The inmate list reflects people in current custody, not all outstanding warrants.
The official fallback chain is practical: check iCourt for the underlying criminal, traffic, protection-order, or citation case; review the current inmate list for custody clues; call the Sheriff's Office for warrant-status direction; submit written sheriff records requests where appropriate; and contact the District Court for bench warrants, failure-to-appear issues, citation payments, and court bond instructions.
Important: Do not rely on the inmate list as a complete active-warrant database; it only shows current custody entries.
Idaho County Warrant Types
Official research identified several warrant or warrant-like records that can matter locally. Some are criminal. Some are civil. Some may appear only as a status or charge line in the current inmate list. Others are handled through the sheriff's civil process work rather than the criminal docket.
- Arrest warrant: A criminal warrant authorizing arrest, sometimes visible as an inmate-list charge or status.
- Bench warrant: A judge-issued warrant often tied to failure to appear, contempt, or court noncompliance.
- Agent's warrant: A probation or parole-style hold or warrant status noted in inmate-list examples.
- Tax warrant of distraint: A civil tax collection warrant handled through the Treasurer and Sheriff.
- Civil orders and writs: Sheriff-served court papers such as protection orders and writs, which are not active arrest warrants.
- Search warrant: A warrant that may be sealed or nonpublic before execution because of investigatory limits.
The key local distinction is between arrest or bench warrants that may connect to criminal court cases and tax or civil process records handled through sheriff civil functions. Treat them as separate channels.
Idaho County Warrant List Clues
The Idaho County Current Inmate List is the closest official online warrant clue found in the research, but it is not a search form. Entries captured in July 2026 included "Arrest Warrant," "Bench Warrant x2," and "Agent's Warrant" as custody or charge/status lines, along with bonds. The page also showed non-warrant charges and sentenced-to-IDOC entries.
| Field | Visible? | Warrant Search Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Person name | Yes | Displayed in last-name, first-name format for current inmates. |
| Mugshot or photo | Yes | Appears before many current inmate entries. |
| Warrant type | Partial | Arrest Warrant, Bench Warrant, or Agent's Warrant may appear as status or charge. |
| Bond | Yes | Shows dollar amount or None when listed in the public entry. |
| Charge tied to warrant | Partial | Sometimes a warrant type is the only listed status; sometimes other charges appear. |
| Case number | No | Not visible in the captured public inmate text. |
| Issuing court | No | Must be checked through District Court or iCourt when public. |
| Date issued | No | Not shown in the public inmate-list inventory. |
| Warrant status | Partial | Only reflects current custody entries, not all active warrants. |
For custody status, the inmate list is useful. For a true warrant check, it is incomplete. A person can have a warrant and not be in current custody. A person can also have a sealed or out-of-county issue that does not appear in an Idaho County list entry.
Call Idaho County Sheriff
The Idaho County Sheriff's Office is the main law enforcement contact channel for warrant questions tied to arrest, custody, and sheriff records. The official sheriff page names Sheriff Doug Ulmer and lists the Sheriff's Office at 320 West Main Street, Grangeville, ID 83530. The main phone is (208) 983-1100. Regional phone numbers are also important because Idaho County is large and rural: Grangeville and surrounding areas use (208) 983-1100; Kooskia and surrounding areas use (208) 926-4221; Riggins, White Bird, and Elk City areas use 800-922-9141.
For records, the research identifies Mandee Mignerey, Records Clerk, at (208) 983-1100 ext. 2. Sheriff records cannot be released without a written request, and some information cannot be accessed while cases are pending adjudication through the courts. The Sheriff's Office also provides OffenderWatch, VINELink links, Inmate Canteen links, and the current inmate list. No official Idaho County Sheriff mobile app was located in the county pages reviewed.
| Channel | Use It For | Contact |
|---|---|---|
| Sheriff main line | Arrest warrant, custody, and sheriff direction. | (208) 983-1100 |
| Kooskia area line | Regional sheriff contact for Kooskia and surrounding areas. | (208) 926-4221 |
| Riggins, White Bird, Elk City line | Regional sheriff contact for those areas. | 800-922-9141 |
| Records Division | Written records requests and release limits. | (208) 983-1100 ext. 2 |
Idaho County Bench Warrants
Bench warrants, failure-to-appear warrants, citation-related warrants, and case-linked warrant entries often connect to the District Court or Magistrate Division. Idaho County's District Court office is at 320 West Main Street in Grangeville, with court phone (208) 983-2776 and fax (208) 983-2376. The court page says credit card payment information for citations and cases can be obtained by calling the court office.
Use iCourt Smart Search for the underlying criminal, traffic, protection-order, or citation case. Use hearing search for public hearing settings and payment search for payable criminal or traffic matters. iCourt may reveal the case that led to a bench warrant, but sealed warrant materials and ICAR 32-exempt information will not appear on the public portal.
- Search iCourt by name, case number, citation number, or other available case identifier.
- Filter results to Idaho County when statewide results are too broad.
- Read the docket for failure-to-appear, bond, hearing, payment, or warrant-related entries.
- Call District Court for court-issued bench warrant, payment, bond, or calendar questions.
- Call the Sheriff's Office for arrest-warrant custody or surrender instructions.

Written Warrant Records Requests
Sheriff records are not released by a simple online warrant form. The Records Division says officer daily reports and information are entered and tracked by records, and records provide the prosecuting attorney with information to prosecute when appropriate. The division cannot release reports without first receiving a written request. Pending adjudication can limit access.
For county public records outside the court case file, Idaho County uses a public-records request form through Room 5 at the courthouse. The form asks for requestor name, date, email, phone, mailing address, residency status, a description of records sought, date range, geographic area or address, examination or copy preference, lawful-use certification, signature, and date. Idaho residents receive a three-working-day response and a free allowance for the first two staff hours and first 100 pages. Nonresidents may receive a 21-day response window and fees from the first hour and page.
Request route: Use court clerk channels for court-file records and sheriff written requests for sheriff reports or agency records.
Tax Warrants and Civil Process
Not every Idaho County warrant is a criminal arrest warrant. The sheriff civil process page describes tax warrants of distraint. In that process, the Treasurer provides the Sheriff with a warrant for delinquent personal property taxes. The Sheriff sends or delivers a demand for payment. If taxes are not paid, property can be seized and sold at public auction.
The same sheriff civil channel handles protection orders, writs, small claims papers, notices to vacate, subpoenas, summonses, and other civil papers. A civil protection order is not the same as a restraining order, according to the sheriff civil page. Writs of execution after judgment can authorize levy, bank garnishment, wage garnishment, or sale of personal property. Those civil process records should not be mixed with active criminal warrant searches.
For charges that follow an arrest warrant, the Idaho County arrest records and court charges page separates arrest-side records from the filed court charges.
OffenderWatch Is Not Warrants
Idaho County provides an official OffenderWatch page for registered sex offender information and alerts. It lets citizens search for registered offenders near homes, workplaces, schools, and day cares; map offenders within a radius; register addresses for monitoring; receive email alerts; and track a specific offender's move. That service is useful public-safety information, but it is not an active warrant database.
The Idaho County OffenderWatch page is relevant because readers may confuse sex offender lookup with wanted-person or warrant lookup.
Use OffenderWatch for registered offender alerts, then use sheriff and court channels for warrant verification.
Federal Warrant Limits
Federal warrants and federal criminal cases are outside Idaho County District Court. Idaho County is within the federal District of Idaho. Federal criminal cases are prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho, while federal court records use federal court systems rather than iCourt. The District of Idaho has federal court locations outside Idaho County, and federal custody is separate from the Idaho County jail roster once a person is no longer in local custody.
The U.S. Attorney Idaho contact page helps separate federal prosecution from Idaho County warrant channels.
Use the county sheriff and District Court channels for Idaho County matters; federal matters route through federal agencies and federal court systems.
Resolve Idaho County Warrants
If a warrant may exist, confirm the source before taking action. The inmate list can suggest a warrant only after a person is already in custody. iCourt can reveal the court case behind a bench warrant or failure-to-appear issue. The District Court can provide court-related instructions for a case, citation, hearing, payment, or bond question. The Sheriff's Office can provide law-enforcement direction for arrest-warrant status and surrender logistics.
- Do not treat the inmate list as a full active-warrant search.
- Search iCourt for related Idaho County criminal, traffic, citation, or protection-order cases.
- Call District Court at (208) 983-2776 for court-issued bench or citation issues.
- Call the Sheriff's Office at the correct regional line for arrest-warrant direction.
- Submit a written sheriff records request when a report or agency record is needed.
- Ask whether the matter is sealed, pending adjudication, probation or parole related, civil, tax, or from another agency.
The jail FAQ says the jail cannot take credit card information. Someone may bond a person out during business hours with a credit card used in person or over the phone at the District Court Office. Confirm payment method and timing before travel because the court office and jail serve different roles.
Note: No official Idaho County sheriff or police mobile app was found in the official sources reviewed, so there is no app-only warrant lookup to cite.
Restricted Idaho County Warrants
Some warrant information is not public. Search warrants may be sealed or nonpublic before execution. Juvenile matters are commonly restricted. Law enforcement and investigatory records may be exempt under Idaho Code section 74-105, especially where release could interfere with enforcement or adjudication. iCourt also states sealed cases and ICAR 32-exempt information do not appear in public search results.
That does not mean every unavailable record is wrong or missing. It means the public path depends on the type of warrant. Court-linked bench warrants route through iCourt and District Court. Arrest warrant status routes through the Sheriff's Office. Tax warrants and writs route through sheriff civil process and Treasurer-related enforcement. Federal warrants route outside the county system.
Important: Public warrant lookups are not FCRA consumer reports and should not be used for regulated screening decisions.
